About Tula Creative
Tula Creative is a Seattle-based firm that helps people-centered businesses and nonprofits lead balanced transitions and build resilient organizations.
Why I started Tula Creative
Turns out transitions are great times to reimagine how you work: there's usually something big at stake, and that's often a great starting place for your bigger why and how.
It's been true for me, at different turns in my non-linear career: moving from teaching English in China, to working in big healthcare systems, consulting across Fortune 500 companies, community-centered nonprofits, and starting multiple businesses.
I've spent my career facilitating complex organizational changes - building new processes, new teams, leadership transitions. I've spent even longer exploring & mastering mind-body practices for better health, relationships, and finding flow.
Today I focus on individuals and organizations with heart - those who give a damn, who care about making a positive impact, and want to do so with more balance.
A bit more about me personally
I'm a two-time expat (Germany & China) and a mom of three. For more than a decade now, I've called the Pacific Northwest home, although I'm originally from Washington D.C.
I don't believe you need to be "good" at art or music to have creative hobbies, and love rekindling my childhood joy in spending more time with both - right now that's doodling and playing at the local pottery studio. I also like optimistically planting things in my garden, but I'm terrible at watering them. My husband is writing a book on rewilding, and as a result our whole family is spending a lot more time in wilderness these days, reminding me of how powerful it is to take time out to reconnect with nature.
